Hello to everyone and greetings from Estonia!
I've been browsing this forum for a long time, now I've decided to actually join and register to this forum and bring some life to this somewhat "dying" forum.
Over the time I've had, and still have, many Optonicas, but the first topic is about CP-500H speakers restoration I've recently completed.
As I'm not a man of big words, it will be mostly pictures.
I purchased them from Germany, came to Estonia in 3 separate packages via Hermes.
As they arrived:
Core alignment:
Replacement of side and top panels:
Gluing of veneer:
Jantzen Audio Cross Caps crossover capacitors:
With new Alpignum fine wood veneer covering:
Finished product:
On birch wood stand:
New speaker terminals:
They look and sound great!
